Plant Manager
Orion Safety Products, a leading manufacturer of Marine emergency signals and Highway safety products, is currently searching for a Plant Manager for its Peru, Indiana facility having approximately 115 to 125 employees.
Primary job objectives: Plan and maintain service excellence to external and internal customers. Support company business objectives through the administration of assigned resources. Provide training support as required towards achievement of the Orion vision. A primary piece of “achieving the Orion vision” is an organization infrastructure that acts proactively and honestly, with trust, teamwork, good conflict resolution, good problem solving, and good decision making. All of the above are supported by fair and relative recognition systems. Continuous improvement planning is a must in regards to improving safety and financial results.
Administrative responsibility for Production, Maintenance, Production & Inventory Control, Warehousing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality.
Previous experience with dangerous good, hazardous materials a strong plus.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth production flow.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document production data accurately and report any deviations or incidents to supervisors.
- Assist in training new production staff and support continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure availability of materials.

Industrial Electrician / PLC Programmer
Role Overview
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, as well as programming and optimizing PLC-controlled equipment to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradly, Siemens, or similiar).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve automation processesses.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in industrial electrical work, with PLC programming experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with HMI programming.
- Knowledge of VFDs, sensors, and industrial networking.
